Starhotels Michelangelo Rome

The hotel and its location are both excellent. However, I experienced some inconvenience during my stay. Due to a leak, I was asked to move to another room in the middle of the day, which I understood, but the process took up a significant part of my day with packing and unpacking. Unfortunately, no upgrade or compensation was offered for the disruption, and I ended up on a different floor from my family, which was disappointing. Additionally, I was surprised to see a tip of nearly 200 euros added to my bill at checkout. Given the already high room rate and city tax, I believe tipping should remain optional and at the guest’s discretion—not added in a way that feels pressured.

The hotel itself was very decorated and had quality materials throughout. The restaurant and breakfast buffet were great. We also liked being so close to the St. Peter's Square.

The bar/lounge was nice, bartender friendly and quality drinks. Rooms were nice and a good size especially for Italy/Europe. Front desk staff is super -- friendly, willing to help and responsive. Location is perfect, just a short walk to the Vatican down a nice, safe street with other restaurants along the route. Looks like there are a good mix of tourists and folks on business travel. When we return to Rome, we'll stay here again.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at your hotel! The location is perfect—close to everything we needed and offering easy access to all the best spots. The cleanliness was impeccable; the housekeeping staff did an exceptional job, and the rooms were always spotless. It was truly a magnificent experience, and we cannot thank you enough for making our vacation so special.
